Youth Health Canada Accessibility Statement
Last updated: February 4, 2026
Youth Health Canada is committed to making our website accessible and usable for as many people as possible, including people with disabilities. We believe accessible design supports better health education and a better experience for everyone.
Our goal
We aim to align our website with WCAG 2.1 Level AA wherever reasonably possible and to improve accessibility over time. We are also guided by accessibility best practices relevant in Ontario.
What we’re doing
We work toward accessibility by:
-
using clear headings and consistent page structure
-
supporting keyboard navigation where possible
-
maintaining readable text size and color contrast
-
providing descriptive alternative text for key images
-
designing forms with clear labels and helpful error messages (where possible)
Known limitations
Some content may not yet be fully accessible, such as:
-
certain third-party embedded tools (for example, payment widgets)
-
occasional images or PDFs that may need improved descriptions or formatting
We’re working to reduce these barriers as the site evolves.
Contact us about accessibility
If you experience an accessibility barrier, please tell us:
-
the page URL (or page name)
-
what you were trying to do
-
what went wrong (and your device/browser, if possible)
We’ll do our best to respond within 2 business days.
