These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Youth Health Canada website (the “Site”). By using the Site, you agree to these Terms.
1. Educational content only (not medical advice)
YHC provides educational information about teen wellbeing (movement, nutrition, mental wellbeing, sleep, and digital balance). Content on this Site is not medical, mental health, or professional advice, and it is not a substitute for care from qualified professionals.
If you believe you or someone else is in immediate danger, call 911. In Canada, you can call or text
9-8-8 for suicide crisis support (24/7).
2. Who the Site is for
The Site is intended for a general audience, including teens and the adults who support them. If you are under 13, please use the Site with a parent/guardian and do not submit personal information without their involvement.

Unless stated otherwise, the Site and its content (text, graphics, logos, downloads) are owned by YHC or licensed to YHC and are protected by intellectual property laws.

5. User submissions
If you contact us or submit information (feedback, questions, volunteer inquiries), you agree not to submit confidential or sensitive personal health information. You also grant YHC permission to use your submission as needed to respond to you and improve our resources and programs (for example, summarizing feedback internally). We will handle personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
6. Donations and sponsorships
Donations/sponsorships may be processed through Wix and/or third-party payment processors. Unless required by law, donations are typically non-refundable. If you believe a donation was made in error, contact contact@youthhealth.ca as soon as possible and we will review the request.
7. Third-party links and tools
The Site may include links to third-party websites or embedded tools. YHC is not responsible for third-party content, services, availability, or privacy practices.
8. Disclaimers
The Site is provided “as is” and “as available”. We do not guarantee the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fully up to date.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, YHC will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Site and its contents.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date will reflect changes. Your continued use of the Site after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the applicable laws of Canada, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
